Give new members a warm welcome with Automations

Welcoming new members to your community can be a time-intensive process, but a worthwhile step in creating lasting first impressions. With Automations, you can now set up personalized welcome messages for all new members as they join your Slack workspace. Welcome messages are sent as a DM from an individual user’s Slack account, so we recommend having your most active teammate set up the automation. Personal notes are a great way to orient new members to the community, encourage them to get involved, or ask questions to kickstart the conversation. Head over to the settings page in your Common Room to get started, and keep an eye out for more Automations soon — this is just the beginning.
